How are you dealing with stress? Most of us are stressed out, almost everyday. And when we’re not, we go out and find things to do to make ourselves stressed.

We get stressed about money, safety, reputation, relationships, death and taxes.

We’ll throw money at it to avoid or embrace it, but we’ll never talk about it.

Stress is part of our human condition. Whether stress is exhausting or exciting, if we’re not proactive, it can really decay our health.

It’s almost like we’re addicted to stress. We think measure of activity equals accomplishment, masking for inner-fulfilment. But is that really true?

I love how Theologian Tyron Edwards puts it…

“Have a time and place for everything, and do everything in its time and place… you’ll not only accomplish more, but have far more leisure than those who are always hurrying”

Whatever the cause of stress, the effects on our mind and body are grim. Stress is formed in our thoughts, which affects our behaviours and decisions.

Changing the way we think about ourselves and the important things in our lives can help change our actions and reactions towards stress.
